MATA INDONESIA, JAKARTA – Nominasi Academy Award atau Piala Oscar 2021 akhirnya secara resmi diumumkan pada Senin 15 Maret 2021.
Nominasi diumumkan oleh Priyanka Chopra dan Nick Jonas. Dalam Oscar 2021 ini, penyedia layanan streaming Netflix tampaknya mulai unjuk gigi, dengan memasukkan dua karya originalnya di nominasi kategori Best Picture atau film terbaik.
Academy Awards ke-93 akan berlangsung secara dari berbagai lokasi, termasuk di Dolby Theatre, pada 25 April. Awalnya, Oscar 2021 akan digelar pada 28 Februari.
“Kami bertekad mempersembahkan Oscar yang tiada duanya, dengan tetap memprioritaskan kesehatan dan keselamatan publik. Kami juga menyesuaikan penyelenggaraan ini dengan persyaratan kala pandemi,” kata juru bicara Academy, seperti dikutip dari Variety.
