MATA INDONESIA, JAKARTA – Rich Brian baru saja merilis lagu terbarunya bertajuk “Don’t Care” dengan video musiknya yang diunggah di YouTube pada Senin 17 Agustus 2020. Kamu dikelilingi dengan fake friend? Lagu ini berarti pas untuk Kamu!
Dalam beberapa bait Brian menyebutkan kalau dirinya memilih untuk tidak menghabiskan waktu untuk hal-hal yang tidak penting. “So get the f*ck out my way, Stay with the fakin’, ‘cause I don’t care!,” bunyi penggalan lirik “Don’t Care.”
Yups, sepertinya rapper asal Indonesia ini memang menyuarakan tentang orang-orang yang toxic dan pura-pura peduli dengan kehidupannya alias fake friend! Tapi, daripada buang-buang waktu buat mikirin perkataan orang-orang itu, lebih baik untuk tidak memedulikannya.

Don’t Care bakal jadi bagian dalam EP (extended play) tersebut, dan Brian sendiri sudah sempat membocorokan cover dari EP ‘1999’, dia juga mengaku kalau EP tersebut merupakan proyek yang paling dia gemari.
“1999 is my favorite project so far. Can’t wait for y’all to hear it,” begitu tulisnya pada unggahan Twitter di tanggal 16 Agustus yang lalu.
Nantinya ‘1999‘ akan menjadi first set song Rich Brian sejak album fullnya yang dirilis 2019 silam bertajuk “The Sailor”. Di album dengan judul tahun kelahirannya ini juga akan ada lagu-lagu yang ia rilis sebelumnya, seperti Bali dan Love In My Pocket.
